Data Network Services

We know transitioning from traditional services to advanced unified communications can be intimidating.

The OTG team has vast experience working with various data network providers. Leveraging that knowledge and experience we chose to work with providers who have a proven track record of delivering and supporting solutions long term.

Our network services portfolio includes:

  • High Performance, Fast Efficient Internet Options
  • Ethernet services – Metro, Wide-Area and Global
  • MPLS-VPN Connections
  • SD/SD-WAN services – (Software defined networking in a wide area network)

SD/SD-WAN

SD/SD-WAN services are allowing companies to build higher performance WAN’s at lower cost. If you have multiple locations that are geographically diverse you are most likely struggling to manage the multiple connections, the multiple speeds and the multiple service providers.

When problems arise at your remote locations, those local managers are probably very frustrated and most likely they lack the expertise and time to work on or deal with the issues that will come up.

An SD-WAN connects those remote locations using simple to use standard data center hardware (sort of like an email server) allowing you to use software to manage those connections, freeing up the remote workers to focus on their day to day business and freeing up you and your IT professionals to focus on business strategy.

Point To Point

Point to Point Connections a private data connection securely connecting two or more locations for private data services. A point to point connection is a closed network data transport service which does not traverse the public Internet and is inherently secure with no data encryption needed. Point to Point connections are available in a range of a bandwidth speeds including point to point T1, point to point Ethernet, or point to point DS3. A point to point connection provides unparalleled quality of service (QoS) as it is not a shared service (a private line) and follows the same direct network path every time. Point to Point links are used by businesses to provide reliable, secure point to point network data service for applications including credit card processing, file sharing, data backup, point to point VOIP, and video conferencing. A point to point network can also be configured to carry voice, video, Internet, and data services together over the same point to point connection. Point to Point circuits are also known as a Point to Point Link, Private Line, Leased Line, or Data Line.

MPLS

Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) is the underlying routing and switching technology, providing Layer 3 routing at Layer 2 speeds and enabling multiple virtual networking environments and services to be delivered on a single layer 1 connection. Software Defined Networking (SDN) is the separation of the Network Control Plane and the Data Plane.

Our global network from day one, gives our clients the power to directly affect real-time changes in bandwidth and QoS service planes. Our proprietary code writes changes directly to our PE routers (in our customer’s virtualized network space) from within our web portal, or even their smartphones (see video). This on-demand flexibility keeps our clients in control of their changing network needs; eliminating the need for CLI access to the hardware that controls the data flow.
